Mr. Austin Hoover

Just want to thank Mr. Hoover, himself a Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) in Judo, for helping us out this past Saturday with class. Though put on the spot at the last minute, Austin did a great job with our "big guy" group and it was much appreciated. Good technical skills sir!

Next week, beginning on Wednesday, new schedule: Kids Judo at 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Teens / Adults from 8:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. We will not have regular Judo classes this Saturday, but we will have Phil Porter, O Sensei here for a Judo training seminar Saturday and Sunday! You just can't miss this! Come and see why! If you don't want to get on the mat and participate, at least come and watch, listen and learn. Spectator Fee = $10.00 so I hope to see you there!

Back On the Mat!

It was great to be back on the mat teaching / coaching again tonight! I look forward to being there for every class whenever possible, and want to thank all who attend for your interest in Judo. Aaron and Charles, you guys were great kids, and have turned into truly good men. Its awesome to have you back in class after so many years as members of our Instructors Team. Thanks so much for your continued support and contributions. Techniques tonight: Okuri Ashi Harai and Kosoto Gake counter.
Remember, always think about your attacks in combination. Have a back up plan. Learn how to set up your opponent. Utilize creative visualization for practice. Play the "What If" game. See you Saturday!
